Calvin's innate and instinctive ability to connect with people no matter their age, background or circumstances saw him develop and maintain numerous successful, long lasting friendships. He was known for his cheeky humour, his never ending sense of fun and mischief. His indomitable spirit and positive outlook on life. The words "I Can't" were not in his vocabulary. The motto "Just do it" was.

His life was full of great adventure and great achievements. A beautiful loving family, an illustrious career in education, travels around the world and finally art. Around 2004 Calvin and a small group of friends would meet up to paint together for pleasure, gradually growing in popularity size and talent. The group went on to become the multi-award winning, nationally and internationally recognised artists we are today.

Calvin's vision, resourcefulness, creativity and untiring efforts produced 23 Provenance Art Exhibitions of which he was tremendously proud. His sense of community spirit and National pride inspired him to produce 4 more Commemorative Military Exhibitions honouring the Service of the men and women of the Australian Armed Forces in WWI with the Anzac Centenary, Armistice, Vietnam and Afghanistan Exhibitions, a concept uniquely his, and never before done. Over 130 commissioned works of art were created, now hanging in various public places and institutions, Government offices, the Turkish Embassy and in the Sir John Monash Centre in Villers-Bretonneux France. A tremendous testament to his ability, determination and devotion to bringing not only the beauty and language and appreciation of art to the City of Casey and the wider community, but also to supporting, promoting and showcasing the work of so many talented local artists.
